Data Reduction Software

The data produced by the observation run can be calibrated and processed in a on-line (Quick-Look) or off-line pipeline (PAPI). Automatic pipeline reduction of the instrument data is predicated on the assumption of a well defined set of observing protocols that supply the relevant meta-data of the pipeline reduction system. These meta-data should be provided by the Observation Tool to GEIRS to be saved in FITS headers. Besides, the pipeline will not only delivered a product with scientific quality product but also provides feedback on the health of the camera.

In addition to the basic PANIC data reduction pipeline (PAPI), for some specific scientific projects we have developed LEMON, a pipeline for differential-photometry.
